36/365 My Favorite Band

If you ask me at any given time who or what is my favorite band...it'll always be The Beatles. Who follows that, will change constantly. ;o)

I'm not sure if I've mentioned that I love music to you. I have? Oh. I'm sorry. I can remember the exact moment I realized the greatness of The Beatles. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon. As a habit my family would have a lazy day started off with a stack of homemade pancakes perfected by my father, a nap and then AMC and snacks.

Growing up, I saw more older movies than new releases...which isn't such a bad thing. It's lead me to the profession I have today! But it was the day I first saw A Hard Day's Night that my life changed and my mind was blown.

I didn't know who The Beatles were. My parents never played them in the house. My dad was a Hippie before he joined the military. Peace, Love and Hendrix! If it wasn't Hendrix, Cream and Zeppelin my dad didn't play it. And my mom loved everything...she was the person Mix 10whatever was made for. ;o)

But the Beatles...never ever ever heard of them. But on this rainy Sunday afternoon...I was about to get rocked. It was on that day I fell in love with English Comedy, Beatles music and John Lennon. After the movie was over I tried to get my hands on anything Beatles. This picture, taken by Linda McCartney, is one of my most prized possesions.
