39/365 My Favorite Past Time

I love concerts. There's something about live music...that just gets me all kinds of excited. The first concert I was SUPPOSE to go to was MC Hammer back in 1992. Or was it 1991....I can't remember. But what I do remember is that I was SO excited. I had my outfit picked out (blue jean skirt with a black and gold belt and a jacket to match. Very Janet Jackson), I knew how I wanted to wear my hair....I even found matching shoes for my outfit. I was ready.

Before we continue, we need to flash back to 1986 for the rest of the story. I was in kindergarten and we were still living in the Philippines. Everyone was getting chicken pox (like you're suppose to) and I had yet to get it. My mom made sure I had play dates with everyone how got it. But to no avail...I never did get 'em.

Now here I am in the 5th grade and my little sister is now in kindergarten and she's got the pox. The DAY before the concert I woke up with an itching sensation. Good news, I don't have to go to school. Bad news....I'm not going to get 2 Legit 2 Quit.

I was so devastated. I was so bummed. Who goes with my mom in my place??? My father. Yep. Daddy-o. To make matters worse, he almost touched Hammer as he danced in the aisle. So mad. But you know, I think I've made up for that one concert I didn't go to.

Favorite concert??? Oh man...don't make me pick! I CAN tell you that my favorite so far this years was Radiohead. I'll never forget that concert for the rest of my life...it was that amazing! ;o)
