Happy Birthday to me? Why...yes...yes it was a happy birthday. ;o)
I am now officially part of the 27 Club. I just hope I make it out of it! Today, I did nothing. That's right...nada. I just fielded a lot of phone calls, text messages and comments on my pages...and that was fine by me.

I had a pretty eventful day the day before...with the cowboys game and all...and all I wanted to do on my birthday...was nap. ;o) haahah...I am getting old!

What I wanted to do on my birthday week was to spend the week creating pictures that depicted parts of who I am (i.e. a music and dog lover, a filmmaker, Cherokee and Black....American...) but I figured no one would really care all that much. But I kinda started it...and I liked the picture so I used this one.

I am part Cherokee...not a huge part, but enough. I remember the day my dad sat me down and told me all that I am, nationality wise.... and it was like he opened a door to a huge room to me. Filled with interestingness all over the place. It also explained so much about my family and I...and why I looked the way I did.

So this picture is to celebrate not only my 27th year on this precious earth but also to celebrate a one of the many things that make me me....it also helped I found this quote...just to tie it all together:

This year, I decided to do something different. Every year, I put my birthday in someone else's hands....and it never works out. Every year my birthday isn't treated with the importance I think it deserves....Does that come off as being selfish? I hope not. I try to take care of everyone I care about all throughout the year, and when my birthday rolls around...I just want a ton of love. ;o) That still sounds selfish....

Okay...let's move one. Hahah....So, this year I decided to take my birthday into my own hands. I was strolling about on Stub Hub and I found two awesome priced tickets to see the Dallas Cowboys. Not only did I get tickets to see them play...but to see them play against our rivals...the Philadelphia Eagles. AND....the Cowboys WON!!!

It was probably one of the best moments in my life and the best way so far I've kicked of my birthday.

Oh...and I took my best friend sister who might just be the biggest Cowboy fan....next to me. She LOVED IT! ;o)

A year ago, I asked someone very close to me...to leave. It was one of the hardest decisions I had to make....and it took me a long time to get to that decision.

I am so thankful that he was able to let me go. It was the best gift he could have given me. We were like two puzzle pieces that looked like we fit together...but had a little gap when they were put together....we just didn't quite fit.

I'm thankful for the years we spent together....I learned a lot from it.

This is one of the oldest friends, Venus. We have known each other since the 8th grade, which is saying something for Military Brats. We been able to do and see a lot in our lives...but the one thing Venus hasn't been able to do is to go to a concert (she keeps trying to count Tina Turner when she was younger...but I do not. hahahah).

Venus LOVES N.E.R.D. LOVES LOVES LOVES, them. So when I found out that they were coming to Dallas, I had to get tickets for her for her birthday. The problem is, they were coming in September and her birthday is in November....so....I created, Unbirthdays! ;o)

For a first concert....this was a great one. N.E.R.D. put on a GREAT show...and she couldn't take her eyes off of Pharrell....we just won't tell her husband that. ;o)

I'm so happy I could make her so happy! Happy Unbirthdays, Everybody!!!!

These are two of my very best friends, Shaddai and Deja. Our story is a story of pure fate...I assure you. ;o) The three of us, 6 years applied for an internship with Walt Disney World. We also applied to work in merchandise. Now, if you've ever been to WDW, you know...it's huge. There are a hundred or so shops and places to buy Disney merchandise. The fact that we all ended up going to Disney at the same time and ended up in the same area....is amazing. My life hasn't been the same since I met the two of them.

Earlier in the week, Deja called and asked if Shaddai were going to busy on the weekend...because she was thinking about coming in for a visit for about 2 days. After all these years, she still doesn't get taht we would drop everything if she was coming in for a visit...and we did. ;o)

Deja came into town with her boyfriend Matt, whom we had yet to meet and a friend. They all live in Boston and were here to watch the Red Sox play against the Texas Rangers. We had the most fun and got to see each other....and I think all three of us really really needed it. ;o)

Oh...and the Rangers won. hhahaha...

This past Saturday, I went to see the Texas Rangers play against the Red Sox. It was awesome. As I was heading back to my seat from a bathroom break...I saw the new magnificent Dallas Cowboys Stadium off yonder. I'm so glad it's football season! Go Boys!!!

Charlie and Snoopy are getting along so well...they are virtually inseperatable. But the thing that is really cracking me up is that they LOVE THE CAMERA!!!
